Government of Gujarat has developed a policy for providing assistance to Startups/ Innovation. Under this scheme, any individual/ group of individuals having innovative idea/ Concept will be eligible for support as approved by various scrutiny committee.As a part of above mentioned policy of Government of Gujarat, an MoU is entered between Government Engineering College, Bharuch and Gujarat Knowledge Society, central implementation nodal agency of policy, to create an innovation ecosystem. Government Engineering College, Bharuch has endured an opportunity to support innovation and ideas of young students and provide a conductive environment.

Student Startup Award of 2018
A SSIP project
“Multifunctional Solar Power Bank” financed by SSIP, GEC, Bharuch has received
a Student Startup Award of 2018 by the august hands of Honorable Chief Minister
of Gujarat, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani, on 10-09-2018. Students have also received
price amount of Rs. 75,000/- on this auspicious day.
